TRR Annual Nightmare Extravaganza!

_{Come one, come all. For the best show you will ever experience. The month of May is a celebration of Nightmares from far and wide, from epic battles to beauty contests to group races, only hosted here at The-Reapers-Registry, working hand in hand with TehKiriai to bring you the most exciting show of the year. I, The Reaper, will be your Ring Master for this evening. At the crack of the whip, let your eyes witness the most outstanding event of your life!

The only rule is, your Nightmare(s) entering must have had been approved before May 1rst 2012. If you do not have a Nightmare at your disposal, don't fret! You can ask to lease a Nightmare from a friend OR if your stable does not have a Nightmare yet, you can create one and enter it. (However, that's ONLY for those who do not own a SINGLE nightmare! Kiriai WILL be checking your stables!)

To pre-register, you must note myself with the reference TehKiriai approved the Nightmare in, OR let me know that your stable does not have a Nightmare. You must also classify whether or not your Nightmare is WILD or tamed (aka In a stable), as there will be a section for both.  The price for pre-registration is 10 per Nightmare per Class. Include the 10 with pre-registration.

Don't worry, you can still pre-register after this date, but whatever classes that don't have any people already pre-registered will be taken off the list!

Don't forget that if you are one of the few who haven't created a Nightmare, to get it approved BEFORE sending in your pre-registration!

Now from me to you, It'd be a shame if you were to not appear.  Now your moment is due, it is time for you to face your fear. Your Ring Master is excited, lets' show the world what it already knew. The Nightmare's reign is starting. Raise the curtains, and bid these suckers adieu!

Classes

Conformation (Halter) (Stabled Horses ONLY)
The purpose of this class is to select individuals in the order of their resemblance to their Nightmare ideal with the most positive combination of balance, structural correctness, muscling and movement.
Weather for this competition will be sunny!
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured headshot (portrait) OR full body image with correct with correct show tack.
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

If you register for Halter class, you automatically can registered for it's subclass, "Showmanship" for FREE;

Showmanship (Stabled Nightmares Only)
Showmanship focuses on the exhibitor's ability to fit and show a horse at halter. Judges evaluate the grooming and fitting of the horse and the expertise of the exhibitor in presenting the horse to the best of his or her ability. Contestants must work a predetermined pattern consisting of maneuvers such as walking, trotting, pivoting, backing and setting up.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured headshot (portrait) OR full body WITH your rider/owner working a pattern that is mentioned above (walk, trot, pivoting, etc).
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.
Same image can qualify for both "Halter" and "Showmanship", but two images are accepted and requested. Make sure if you use one image that it can qualify for both.

Dressage (Stabled Nightmares Only)
Dressage is one of the three Olympic equestrian disciplines. It is a programme of suppling, balancing and obedience work.
Weather for this competition will be sunny!
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body shot WITH rider.
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

Jumper (ALL)
Your Nightmare will be jumping a hard, advanced course consisting of around 21 jumps. In order to compete in this competition, you must provide an image of your nightmare with/jumping a triple oxer similar to this image: www.sprucemeadows.com/images/s… be a triple, no bushes needed; can be your own design)
Weather for this competition will be sunny!
This class is judged separately, however the best out of both categories will receive "Best Overall" title and Ribbon.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare with the jump mentioned above
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

Working Hunter (ALL)
The horse is judged on a course of obstacles that simulate obstacles found in a hunting field: fences, brush and walls. Depending on the division, obstacles can range in height from 18" to 3 feet 3 inches. Manners, style of jumping, flow of strides and balance are elements that judges consider when marking a score.  In order to compete, you must draw your Nightmare with/jumping a jump similar to this jump: getjumps.com/storage/tuckers-u… (Must be double, with shrubs in from and flowers on the side. You can keep it the same, or design the jump yourself, but must follow the above guidelines)

Steeple Chase (ALL)
Steeple Chase; a long hunter obstacle course. Whoever can get to the finish line first wins. Your Nightmare will be jumping over 2 foot obstacles that include brush, logs and walls. This is about speed, not grace. This is also a group competition. So please be careful. The course will be 8 furlongs, and will be both on grass and dirt.
Weather on the day of the race will be rainy.
This class is Judged TOGETHER.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare jumping and/or with other Nightmare and riders in the image (does not have to be anyone in particular, just randoms)
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

Flat Race (ALL)
A simple head on head 6 furlong race. Purely about speed. Dirt terrain. Adjust according to weather.
Weather on the day of the race will be rainy.
This class is judged TOGETHER.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare racing with other Nightmare and riders in the image (does not have to be anyone in particular, just randoms)
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

Fox Hunt (ALL)
All nightmares entering this class will be sent out at night, looking for one fox. First one to retrieve the fox and bring it back to the Ring Master wins. Watch out for the wild ones, they might try and steal your kill!! You will be jumping and racing over the forest terrain, so whatever the forest brings your way, be prepared!
You will be hunting purely at night.
This class is judged TOGETHER. Please be aware of other, wild Nightmares.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare some time during the fox hunt (fox does not have to be in the image, but it is more exciting if it is. Also, other Nightmares are allowed in your image)
Background is NOT required, but appreciated

Judged on effort, NOT talent.

Costume (Stabled and Wild if possible)
Halloween in May?!  You bet, anything is possible in The Reaper's stable! Dress up your Nightmare, and show it off to the crowd! If a Wild Nightmare can change its appearance (or provide the illusion that it can), it is welcomed as well!!
You can use props for background if It brings your idea together.
This class is judged TOGETHER.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare in costume
Background is NOT required, but appreciated

Judged on CREATIVITY.

Beauty Pageant (ALL)
Think your Nightmare is beautiful? Pretty it up and take a show  your Nightmare at its best! "Beauty" can be described in many different ways, when it comes to a Nightmare. Think your nightmare is looking it's best with a dead prey in it's mouth? We welcome all types of beauty! From the hideous to the glamorous! Creativity is the master here!
You can use props to bring your masterpiece together! (ie, dead prey, etc)
This class is judged TOGETHER. Please be aware of other, wild Nightmares.
To enter this class, you must have:
Any type of image can be used here, either a headshot or Full body image. But remember, be creative!
Background is NOT required, but appreciated

Power Rangers (ALL)
Welcome to the Gun show, everyone! Step right up to see these beautiful Nightmares show off all of their interesting and unique powers! A rabbit will be thrown into the ring with these beasts, and each Nightmare must show off its skills! The best and most unique way of killing/scaring the rabbit wins!
No owners or riders allowed in the ring.
This class is judged TOGETHER. Please be aware of other, wild Nightmares.
To enter this class, you must have:
Coloured full body image of your Nightmare with or without the rabbit, demonstrating it's powers.
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent.

1v1 Battles (ALL)
Please have pre-registration in for this battle by May 30th! Enemy teams will be sent out the 1st of June!
Each Nightmare that signs up will be given a partner to battle against, showing it's abilities to defend and attack when challenged.  The fight will last 3 rounds; giving each round one will attack, and the other will defend. EACH party member will have to draw a picture and story of at least one page in Word, stating their attack or defence. When sending in pre-registration, send me a number between 1 and 50. The closest person will get to attack first. Out of three rounds, there should be 2 images from both parties (4 in total; 2 from both parties), and I will explain why. Round one, player 1 would draw a picture and story describing their attack. Player 2 would draw a picture and write a story stating their defend against said attack(end round 1), and in the SAME story and picture, describe their attack (image can be either defence or attack). Player 1 then would write a story and draw an image of the defence from player 2's attack(end round 2), and then would in the same image/story, attack. Player 2 would repeat the same steps. Bell would ring after Player 2's last attack.
God moding will result in immediate forfeit!
This class is judged TOGETHER. Please be aware of other, wild Nightmares.
To enter this class, you must have:
2 coloured full body image of your nightmare and your battle partner, along with interesting story.
Background is NOT required, but appreciated
No linearts will be accepted
Judged on effort, NOT talent. (creativity is also a bonus!!)

2v2 Battles (ALL)
Please have pre-registration in for this battle by May 30th! Enemy teams will be sent out the 1st of June! Don't have a friend? Let me know, and I'll add you to the list of people who are single and willing to play!
Have someone you want to combine powers with? 2v2 Battles is the same as 1v1, except you're combining your art! One person can do the lines, the other can do the colouring, etc!
